Status effects determine additional effects of abilities and apply either status buffs or status ailments. Status effects are applied at once or over multiple turns.
A status ailment is a status effect with a negative impact. Status ailments can decrease stats, such as decreasing health, mobility, dexterity, and the damage or range applied by abilities.
Specific status ailments include
Push, where a unit is moved away from the caster;
Pull, where a unit is moved toward the caster;
Poison, where a unit loses health over time;
Burn, where a unit loses health over time;
Freeze, where a unit cannot move;
Stun, where a unit cannot move; and
Exile, where a target is sent to the Beyond.
A status buff is a status effect with a positive impact. Status buffs can increase stats, such as increasing health, mobility, dexterity, and the damage or range applied by abilities.
Specific status buffs include
Stealth, where a unit cannot be targetted;
Immune, where a unit cannot take damage;
Recover, where a unit restores an amount of health;
Regen, where a unit recovers health over time; and
Cleanse, where status ailments can be removed from a unit.
